BIO LUXE TEXTILES

MOUTON BIO™ INTRODUCING OUR LUXE MOUTON BIO TEXTILES, ENGINEERED TO EMULATE THE EXCEPTIONAL HAND FEEL AND PREMIUM QUALITY OF SHEARLING.

  • MOUTON BIO™ is a 98% bio-based, 2% minerals for flame retardancy and 100% compostable solution to replace synthetic and animal based pile sheepskin fabrics.
  • Mouton bio ™ is made from 98% bio-based polymers from corn PLA, 2% minerals and nothing else.
  • Developed with Senbis Polymer Innovations, this durable, soft, warm, washable and flame retardant textile is produced from the polymerization of extracted lactide from renewable bio-based non GMO feedstock.
  • Our polymers are sourced from above ground carbon sources which have a minimal and vastly superior carbon footprint.
  • This procedure contains no petrochemicals and is so pure that it is commonly used to manufacture bio- based materials for medical applications.
  • MOUTON BIO™ is currently available for production and sampling.

BIO PLUSH™ IS THE NEWEST MEMBER OF THE BIOFUR FAMILY, DEFINED BY ITS LONGER, CURLY PILE AND AN EXCEPTIONALLY SOFT HAND FEEL.

  • BIO PLUSH™ is made from 98% bio-based polymers, 2% minerals and nothing else.
  • Developed with Senbis Polymer Innovations, this durable, soft, warm, washable and flame retardant textile is produced from the polymerization of extracted lactide from renewable bio-based non GMO feedstock. This BIOSherpa™ and BIOPLUSH™ textile was created to be an environmentally positive alternative to PET faux fur, animal fur and petroleum-based sherpa textiles currently available in the market.
  • In the current landscape, PET fibers are the best performing and least expensive material for fulling the needs of the textile industry, despite the fact that they contribute significantly to two major environmental challenges: microplastic pollution and global warming. Notably, 35% of marine microplastics can be traced back to PET textile sources. It's crucial to recognize that the production of 1 kg of PET fibers releases more than 2.2- 5kg of CO2 into the environment.
  • BIOPLUSH™ is currently available for production and sampling.
